Philippine Air Force Additional Firepower (Helicopter)

Additional air firepower will be added to the assets of Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The last batch of Agustawestland AW109 Power Helicopter is expected to arrive this 2nd quarter of 2014.

The rebidding of Huey Helicopter become successful when the joint venture of Rice Aircraft Services (United States) and Eagle Copters (Canada) won the contract.The first batch of Huey Helicopters are expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2014.

Anticipated last one is the delivery of Italy’s AW-109 Attack version. Out of eight helicopters ordered, two of its chopper is expected to arrive later this year.

With this achievement, the Armed Forces of the Philippines added more air capability to response COIN Operation and Disaster.
