U.S. Marines with 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion, III Marine Headquarters Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, train Philippine National Police and service members from the Armed Forces of the Philippines in oleoresin capsicum (OC) application and exposure on Aug. 08, 2014 at Fort Rudiardo Brown, Philippines during the Non-Lethal Weapons Executive Seminar 2014. The effective use of non-lethal weapons can be extremely valuable during rescue missions, for force protection in civil disturbances, while controlling rioting and prisoners of war, for checkpoint of convoy operations, HA/DR operations, or in situations inwhich civilians are used to mask a military attack.
