The annual Balikatan military exercise, which brings together the United States and Philippine Marines, saw a live-fire range training exercise in Santa Juliana, Philippines.

The 3rd Littoral Combat Team, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, and 3rd Marine Division, along with their Philippine counterparts, conducted the range using various weapons, including the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifles, M240B machine guns, and Mk 153 Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Weapons.

However, the highlight of the exercise was the demonstration of the M777 155mm Howitzer by the United States Marines to their Philippine counterparts. The M777 is a towed howitzer, capable of firing powerful explosive shells over long distances, and is considered one of the most advanced artillery systems in the world.

The training exercise was an indication to the strong partnership between the United States and Philippine Marines, highlighting their training and expertise in using advanced military equipment. The event was an excellent opportunity for both the Marines to exchange knowledge and showcase their skills.
