Philippine Air Force Php 40 Million Brand New Parts Procurement

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has allocated the sum of PHP 40,000,000.00 for the acquisition of brand-new motors for its 2.75 inch rockets which are used to arm its MD-520 and AW-109 attack helicopters.

AgustaWestland AW109E Power helicopter is a three-ton class eight seat twin engine helicopter, often seen as one of the aircrafts with the longest range and largest mission capability, while being quite cost-effective.

Delivered in December 2014 and commissioned in August 2015, the helicopter are equipped with rockets launchers, two .50 caliber machine guns. The helicopter is also capable of navigating in bad weather and able to operate day and night operations.

Submission and bid opening is on Aug. 30, 9 a.m. at the PAF Procurement Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, said Air Force bids and awards chair Brig. Gen. Nicolas C. Parilla.

The 2.75 inch-rockets are primarily used for ground attack missions.
