Procurement and Logistics Expert named Philippine Army Inspector General

MANILA, Aug. 22 (PNA) — Logistics and procurement expert Brig. Gen. Joselito M. Reyes was appointed Philippine Army (PA) Inspector General during short ceremonies in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City Monday.

The former, who also served as military comptroller, is also a member of Philippine Military Academy Class office 1985.

Reyes replaced Major Gen. Manolito P. Orense who was appointed last week as commander of the Camarines Sur-based 9th Infantry Division.

Prior his appointment, he served as Army Support Command (ASCOM) deputy commander and ensured the 100-percent submission of Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) for CY 2015 before the deadline; and facilitated the implementation of the issuance of Combat Clothing Individual Equipment (CCIE) to Philippine Army personnel, including reservists, CAFGU Auxiliary members, and re-enlisting personnel.

Reyes was also designated as the assistant division Commander of the 2nd and 4th Infantry Divisions.

He likewise served as the assistant division commander for Admin and Logistics of the 2nd Infantry Division; Task Force Commander of Task Force Warehouse, General Headquarters and Headquarters Support Company, AFP; Chief of the Unified Command Staff, Northern Luzon Command; Chief of Staff, 2nd Infantry Division; and Assistant Chief of Staff for Comptrollership, G6, 2nd Infantry Division.

He also commanded the 7th Forward Service Support Unit, ASCOM. (PNA)
