U.S. Marines from India Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, conduct training with their counterparts from the Armed Forces of the Philippines during Balikatan 2019 at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Philippines, April 4, 2019.

The training included a small arms and mortar live-fire exercise. Balikatan 2019 is an annual U.S.-Philippine military exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, counter-terrorism, and military operations held from April 1- April 12. Balikatan helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness and enhances combined military-to-military relations and capabilities.
