A coordinated patrol operation named as “CORPAT PHILINDO XXXII-18” between the Philippine Navy and Republic of Indonesian Navy is scheduled this April.

The purpose of maritime training is to secure the border areas between the Philippines and Indonesia from any illegal activities and enhance the interoperability between the two neighboring countries.

The twenty-day activity involves the Opening Ceremony in Manado, Indonesia, followed by courtesy calls, goodwill games, and dinner reception.

Then it goes to coordinated patrol operations such as shipboard exercises and coordinated patrol between the two navies at the Celebes Sea.

The BRP Davao del Sur (LD-602) of the Philippine Navy is the primary vessel to participate the exercise.
