Arrival of Royal Canadian Navy HMCS Saskatoon MM 709

HMCS Saskatoon is a Kingston-class coastal defence vessel that has served in the Canadian Forces since 1998. Saskatoon is the tenth ship of her class which is the name for the Maritime Coastal Defence Vessel Project. She is the second vessel to use the designation HMCS Saskatoon.

The Kingston-class coastal defense vessel Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship Yellowknife (MM 706) and Saskatoon (MM 709)transits the San Diego bay to participate in the Southern California portion of the Rim of the Pacific 2016 exercise.

RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
