U.S. Marines from Battalion Landing Team, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, arrive via an MV-22 Osprey at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Republic of the Philippines, for Philippine Amphibious Landing Exercise 33 (PHIBLEX), October 4, 2016.

PHIBLEX is an annual U.S.-Philippine military bilateral exercise that combines amphibious capabilities and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability and working relationships.

MV-22 Osprey were used in relief operations in response to Typhoon Yolanda’s devastation of the Philippines in 2013.
