Kamandag 6, an annual exercise is conducted by the Philippine Marine Corps with the U.S Marine Corps, to validate interoperability and the ability to conduct tactical level operations together as a combined force. Tactical level operations in key terrain are executed, ranging from humanitarian assistance response operations to amphibious operations and events, including the firing of HIMARS rockets and incorporation of aviation fires through live-fire drills.

The most varied and diverse training areas and training objectives were used in Kamandag 6, than any of the previous exercises conducted with the Philippines in a long time. This was the first time that the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force and the Republic of Korean Marine Corps also participated, showing the ability to operate not only together but as part of a multinational force.
