Defense Secretary Lorenzana Signed Defense MOU Between PH-Croatian Government

The Department of National Defense recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Defense Cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, increasing bilateral defense relations between the two countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Philippine Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Damir Krstičević last 11 April 2019, in Split, Croatia, provides a framework for cooperation in the field of defense, “based on reciprocity and mutual benefit.”

Both countries acknowledge co-operating in Defense and security policy, military education, training, capability building, military equipment, logistics and maintenance, Defense industry and technology, and other areas mutually approved by both parties.

Croatia is one of the contributors of peacekeeping forces to the United Nations and possesses its own modern and highly-advanced defense business.
