The WHEC-719 Boutwell was decommissioned to US Coast Guard Service on March 16, 2016. The ship will be transfer to the Philippines within this year, and will become the third Frigates of the Philippine Navy .

As part of Operation Arctic Shield 2015, the Coast Guard deployed cutters, aircraft and personnel to engage in operations encompassing a variety of Coast Guard missions from Dutch Harbor through the Bering Strait and along the North Slope including the Northern Alaska Outer Continental Shelf.
