Taiwan Unveil the Newly Developed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology’s Aeronautical Systems Research Division, is the foremost institute of Taiwan for weapons research and development unit.  Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)  is the latest they developed on their division and would be the first time to be revealed to the public.

The military will showcase an array of locally developed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) and various kinds of weaponry, including missile and rocket systems at an upcoming defense exhibition in Taipei. 89 types of new developed bits and pieces will go on display at the Ministry of National Defense pavilion at the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition, which  run on August 13 to 16, 2015. The military’s pavilion features four categories: advanced systems, simulators, research and development and recruiting center.

The capabilities of the UAV are the ability of automatic takeoff and landing and aerial communication relaying. It also equipped with a platform for medium altitude, long endurance and multiple payloads. The craft is designed for day and night missions such as intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, environmental research and coastal patrols.
